CURRUMBIN WATERS
Currumbin Waters is a residential suburb on the Gold Coast offering acreage, waterfront and residential housing close to some of the best beaches and waterways of the area.
Currumbin Waters is very popular with families due to its proximity to transport, Currumbin Fair local village shopping, The Pines Shopping Centre Elanora, affordability and predominately flat generously sized building allotments.
The area which is now Currumbin Waters sat relatively dormant up until the 1970’s and early 1980s when a canal estate named ‘Marlin Waters’ was developed and sold adjacent to Currumbin Creek Road. This well designed canal system offered southern Gold Coast residents appealing waterfront properties with ocean access via Currumbin Creek. The estate now comprises of a mixture of both low set and two level homes, predominately more affordable than its Central and Northern Gold Coast counterparts.
Growth continued in the suburb with dwellings eventually reaching the NSW border to the south, the Gold Coast Highway to the east, Guineas Creek Road to the north and Simpsons Road to the west.
The suburb has become popular with first home buyers or offspring of local families wanting to stay in the area or folks wishing to downsize from acreage properties in nearby Currumbin Valley.
